lessee... first trip back to FL from OR for my sister's wedding.
take the red-eye home so leave OR at bedtime and arrive in
orlando at wakey time. amount of sleep inbetween = 0
get home and brew coffee.
that night was the dinner reception at Pearl's Bistro. damn g00d
food, and we had the restaurant just to us. i'm barely hanging on
then the food hits. can we say "lights out please."
midnight is creeping up and i drag the two lead trunks aka my legs
and the dead weight attatched up to mom and mutter:
"home. bed. now."
then almost toppled over onto the floor. i think she got the idea ^^;
we trickle out and i oof into the rental car (for the wedding) and then
next thing i know is mom's shaking me awake cause we're home.
suffers growing severity allergic reaction/attack to dog hair/dander.

second trip home - 3 day fishing tournament in palm beach.
take the redeye in again
(like i would learn my lesson the first time around :P)
arrive in PB airport where dad picks me up. i'm zipping on starbucks
since the last airport i had stopped over at had a starbucks. twas an
agonizing hour long wait from 5am-6am for them to open.
it's the day before the first day of the tournie (one i have fished in
before) and since the room at the marina was only a onebedder, i
was to sleep on the boat.
do dinner then hit the sack. wake up in the middle of night to rediscover
why it is i hate being 1)sick and 2)hugging a toilet.
thus, when i felt good enough, i dragged my sick sorry carcas off the
boat and to their room (the door thankfully unlocked) and promptly
crashed on the floor. ever so gently so as to not bond with the toilet
again anytime soon. of course, i almost got stepped on by dad when
he woke up to get ready. a grunt or two later from me, and he was outie
and i was in beddie.
the one bennie of being sick at home after years away: being pampered
by the momster =^^=
conversely, i missed all three days of the tournie which were miserably
spent. the latter half of the trip i was better which i spent up in jax
anyway visiting my otoosan and minna. and of course, otoosan having
two weaner dogs, the pet dander/hair allergy struck full force making
me a miserably allergic k-chan festing on anime.
conclusion: some sorta intestinal/stomach virus that i brought down
with me and the redeye resultant lack of sleep and exhaustion weakened
my defences enough for it to hit. like a really heavy hard brick >.<
and of course, on the flight back, soon as i get in oregon i'm hit by
an allergy attack of some sorts, on the plane no less o_O
no kleenex and no meds so i'm left with the soft love of napkins
and tylenol until i could hit albies up for drugs -.-

i don't get sick often, but when i do tis like death came to visit -.-

but enough with the nostalgia.
food was good, and now it's time for bed. tomorrow is payday,
thank the goddess.

i have seen the Sakaki-chan figure i absolutely must have if i can
find it anywhere. it's totemo kawaii and ultra sexy. w00! of course,
with my luck i won't find it and if i do, it'll be a kit and not a complete
cold-cast or resign figure i can buy. ~sniffles~ gotta have my Sakaki-chan,
and seeing her with Yamamiya on her shoulder looking oh-so-cute
makes me wish i had ordered the plush when animejungle had it.
shoulda **sparkled** at mom more and done it for xmas like she
had suggested -.-

lessee... january 2003 is almost over and already 3 new anime have
been announced as liscenced that i want, 2 of them tv series in the
50+ episode range. the first month of the new year isn't even over yet
and already my credit card is screaming for mercy ;P
the anime in question are One Piece (100+), 12 Countries (50+),
and Weathering Continent.

ya know, if possible, i'd like to avoid a war. all war is is glorified justified
(relatively speaking) death and murder -.-
in the end, we're only going to piss off even more those who are
of the greatest danger to us, and those whom we need to understand
so they can understand us.
what i'd really like to see is something done about N.Korea and
the prisoner conecntration camps there. i thought the world had learned
their lesson through Hitler, but it would seem that history is repeating
itself, but this time no one is doing anything. i have half a mind to
make a copy of my Legacy poem and mail it to the White House along
with a short personal letter.
in some cases, history is to remind us of what should never again be.

ok. gotta stick with setting the alarm for 9am when i can back to take my
nap, since no matter what i always seem to turn it off and hop back in bed
for another hour of sleep. getting up at 11am is too late. things to do
and anime to watch :3

augh! houseofanime still doesn't have the arimamiyazawa figures
back in stock yet. i'm going to have to email them to see if they are
ever going to get more in stock. if so, me gotta have ^^

nothing special planned for today. cruise by Borders and pick up
the next two Hyper Police dvds and then on to BCC to chill, spend $$$
and then to pick up david and chris for some Trigun festage.
~crosses fingers~ hopefully Hellsing dvd 4 w/figure will be in my box.
from there, not sure what other anime i'll get, and maybe a mag.
animedia and newtypeUSA 3 should be there.

i am in such k-chan anime bliss-land right now **^______^**
i got Hyper Police dvd 1 today. gonna get Hyper Police dvds 2 & 4
tomorrow cause Borders has them and i JUST GOTTA HAVE THEM!!
HP is awesome. Natsuki and Sakura are so cute, and so GAY :D
and did i mention CUTE, especially when Natsuki goes into
catgirl mode. ka-wa-ii!!!! had me literally squealing in the CUTENESS!
it's an image disc so it's not dazzling in the video department, and
the subtitles are better than i had hoped, but the audio is a decent
5.1 mix, in japanese ~drools~
gotta have the OP/ED cd single now.

all in all, yesterday was rather uneventful. for the actual day of
the superbowl, i was surprised. oh sure, we had the busy spurts
when it got close to the game starting, but then it diieeeeed.
i expected at least a lil more biz then what we got, even for the
superbowl. people do shop when there is football on tv, especially
people who want to get away from the football and overflowing
testosterone levels :P

i have to wait for an Okazu update to find out just exactly
what is a Comiket, and what it entails.

a good thinker question got posed on the offtopic forum of animeondvd
about what anime has the highest onscreen death toll, not of planets,
ships, or random massive slaughterings. instead, deaths of decent to well
known characters. my three picks were Berserk, Yamato, and X.

only 2 more months to my next raise. w00t!! more money good.
demo, if the aparto raises my rent again next year during my lease
renewal, i'll have to seriously consider moving into a one bedroom
apartment. how i'd fit everything into a one bedroom boggles the
mind though o_O
it's really not possible, no matter how i imagine it. specially with
all my equipment, shelves, racks, n boxes. i've seen the one bedroom
apartos and it just won't work. and i'm not ready for a house yet
(with reasonable monthly payments) so that won't work yet. gotta
wait till i know for sure if i'm settling in either jax or vero before
i do the house thing.

wonder if jayme-chan is working today. maybe i'll pay her a visit
at work since i haven't heard from her yet. after visit: much anime
festing till it's time to pick david up from work. i need some Saint
Tail kawaiiness along with some mecha g00dness. maybe toss
Char's Counterattck in for a spin. after i get Hellsing dvd 4, i am so
going to have to do a Hellsing marathon :D
the momster will be paying a visit in feb sometime. wai!!! ^_^
though probly more towards the end of the month so she can
get caught up with stuff around home and work.

augh! animejungle has the Outlaw Star OSTs, not to mention the
Berserk OST and i can't get them. augh! >.<
gotta take care of the sis first and get her belated xmas present.
shopping for one's yuppy older sister isn't easy, especially when her
younger sister is a free-spirited otaku :P
demo, i knew i'd find/think of the perfect gift if given time. now i just
gotta order it from amazon, along with a lil something for me.

the .hack cds. the last cd release they did with a dvd was given a
dvd case and not a cd case. argh! i want cd cases for my cds damnit.

why? today is the superbowl, that's why. any excuse to feast and

personally, an anime fest is a much better reason to feast (usually on
sushi or some sort of asian fare) then football, but to each their own.
today being the superbowl and all, it'll be slamming again up till the
game, and then it'll die deader then a blue screen.

ShoPro, once known as Viz, is supposedly looking into liscencing the
anime Mirumo. shweet!! i say, though if it means dub and cut only
they can kiss my white otalu butt. i'm still pissed at them for releasing
Hamtaro dub only, both on tv and for its domestic dvd/vhs release.
i want my HamHam kawaii {glomplable} g00dness in uncut japanese please ^^
maybe the recent changes will be a sign of brighter times at ShoPro,
formerly viz. ~crosses fingers~ one can hope.

went by Hoyt's this morning and got my decibal reader, kindly
on loan till i get one from Radio Shack (aka: Radio Crap or Rat Shack),
but this decibal reader is actually ~gasp!~ g00d.
and a hell of a lot cheaper then an ISF tech one, by a couple grande.
sides, i like being able to tweak my own home theater as much
as possible by myself. i'll still leave the indepth video calibration to
the professionals.
then i went to Target and got the few necessities... and a few
not so necessities. demodemo, who can resist the ultra kawaiiness
of a big soft'n'foofy HamHam (from Hamtaro) plushy XD
not me, that's for sure ^^
they also have Bijou, but k-chan no have enough green-o.
it's also quite obvious her name is a play on bijin which is
japanese for "beauty", as in someone who is a beauty.

took in as much as possible today of Saber Marionette J-X
dvds 4 & 5. augh!!!!! need to finish dvd 4, and dvd 6 is sooo far away ;_;

personally, i think it'd make a great shoujo drama acquisition for ADV.
the soundtracks would also make a great AnimeTrax addition ^^

it is confirmed that Sen to Chihiro, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Laputa -
Castle in the Sky will be getting the 2 dvd release, same as the r2 release
with original japanese language and new dubs. hopefully this means Kiki
will get a new literal subtitle track as the last two sub tracks (r1 & r2)
have been dubtitled.
BVUSA is working to do something about the horrid red tint on Sen,
but how well it works out will remain to be seen. to be on the safe side,
i think i'll wait till all three are released before and feedback is available
before i buy my copies.

the price is a damn good bargain. soon as it's out and released

i get to see the parental units this week.
^^ wai! wai! wai! ^^
i also get to go by La-Z-Boy today and get a refill on my leather
conditioner (ran out) and swing by Hoyt's too, or just call. i want
to find out where i can get a decent and affordable decible reader
for keeping my speakers balanced. i'd love to have the one
that Steven used, but something tells me it'd cost a few pretty pennies :P
demo, i'd also like to get one better than the radiocrap version.

The Big O is getting an international release, with a box. it'll have
both english and japanese languages, but so far no word of any
english subtitles ;_;
demodemo, i'll keep hoping until the very end ^^

was reading a lil article in either newsweek or times the other day
about cdrs, riaa, mp3z, and the music industry as a whole which some
predict to be dying if not already dead.
lessee... i have mp3z. tons of them. some i downloaded from napster,
but the majority of them are all ripped cd files from cds i already own.
*gasp* shocking isn't it. i spend money on cds, then rip them so i can
listen to them on my computer and mixmatch cds for listening to in
my car. only a fool keeps his/her legit cds in the car, ripe for stealing.
do i buy american music? aw hell no. why? because it is CRAP.
imo that is.
but i do buy plenty of jpop and anime music ^_^
this means i'm spending a whopping $15-$40 on each cd, unless their
singles or really old used cds. so don't tell me i'm not willing to spend
money on cds when i spend as much as i do on cds.
the mp3z i downloaded from naptser rock. i love them. some are of
songs i can't find anywhere else. i have most of the cds watchlisted at
animejungle which are slowly trickling in, but when many are from OOP
cds, the wait is long. the Ririka cds are a perfect example. so OOP
and ultra rare, i've only finally worked my way up to the 4th in line
for them after almost 3 years of having them watchlisted.
so yes i like my mp3z, and i love my import cds :3
riaa is more than welcome to pay my animejungle bills if they are so
worried about my cd spending habits **fangs**

for us otaku, napster was the bomb. we could sample jpop and anime
music and find what we liked then hunt down the cds for them. it was
especially helpful when it came to jpop since i'm much more familiar
with anime soundtracks (usually having seen the anime) but jpop was
unknown territory. before spending my money on an artist and cd, hearing
the a sampling of the music helped a lot.

gonna have to give him a buzz back in the next day or so, or this
coming weekend. whichever comes first. coincidently, i was just thinking
about him a couple days earlier and wondering how he was doing.

year. of course, i'll have to buy another air mattress ;P demo, it'd be
sweet, and i could use my vacation time for something good. it'll
be nice when i get ALL my vacation this next anniversary around :3
be even nicer if i'm do for my vacation raise (of sorts) then too.

the parental units are stopping by thursday. they should already have
a marina picked out so i'll leave that to them. i work the earrrrly morning
shift so i have all afternoon off to clean and watch anime they get in.
wai!! get to check out their new boat, which better be their last. dad
should have his boat itch all scratched now. they just need to sell their
other one. as dad said, "some people have two car families. we have
a two boat family :P"

ugh! {{{huuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs}}} amy.
that sucks beyond all possible major suckage. glad you're doing better
now though. i don't know much about drugs (cept anime) but if you're
truly excited about VNS, i hope it works out for you :)

some news fresh outa japan and cdjapan is that the remaster and
rerelease of Eva will be 8 dvds plus the movies. not all that bad disc
release wise, though i doubt they'll have english subtitles -.-
a fangirl can dream :3

trust me, you'll get over the CGI. i did, and i've watched disc 1 three
times already :P good crack, actually, and some really truly anime first

they do a damn good job, imo, of capturing the at times hilarious and
poignant ignorance, innocence, and naivette of two different species,
well, genders actually, interacting with one another for the first time.
you'll get a kick out of the doctor }:D

hm... wonder if it's the Lupin III Cagliostro figure set i had on preorder.
speaking of figure preorders and such, the selection has been rather
pitiful as of late. same goes for the r1 cd soundtrack releases.
*sighs* and just when i want to spend money too -.-

i'm going to have to look into picking up some of her jpop cds. hard to believe
that such an elegant and beautiful voice also rocked the anime world behind
such characters as Chibi-Usa and Miaka :D

laundry done. feels good. now i have clean work clothes.
yesterday was most definitely one of those days. i am never talking
about ambulances and having to call 911 at work again.
sadly, one of my customers and a regular i know, collapsed from
a heartattack/stroke right in front of my checkstand. i get zero
pleasure from having to urgently yet calmly having to call my working
managers up front nor calling to heather in the booth to call 911 immediately.
the wife of the elderly gentleman was so broken up; it was so sad. i stayed with
them till joann k and tony were upfront and apraised of the situation, then i
had to go back to my customers waiting in line and calmly (on the exterior
at least) take care of them. but then again, there is only so much i can do
for the patient, and then i have to trust to others to take it from there. i
know my limits at this point at least, and hopefully with more training i'll
be able to further my limits.
and once again, i am freshly reminded that life is fragile and thus precious.
therefor one must hang onto it dearly enough so as to treasure it, but so
as to not fear it or dread it.
that makes 4 different shifts of mine where i've had to either directly
or indirectly call for 911 service. while it's reassuring to see i can handle
it, i'd rather not have to at all -.-

geh. after this email to otoosan i am going to be so a/v technobabbled
out for quite some time O_o i think i'll wait on the new a/v stand till
it's time to get my 2nd dvd player. might as well just get them both at
the same time, which includes trading in my current one for credit
towards the new one. the new one is the same as the one i have now,
just with two more shelves. (hehe... LD player space :3)

mangle is now retaliating and saying that R.O.D being edited was just
a rumor started by aodvd -i think NOT- and they have no intention of
editing its release. they are just considering a Play-All feature. he..
sounds an aweful lot like a movie format to me.
besides, the few who heard the news from ohayocon stated in their
posts that it was as of yet just a rumor, unfounded until mangle states
their official and specific release plans for R.O.D
of course, keith burgess and mangle were quick to deny and point blame,
wrongly, on aodvd as the source of unfriendly unfounded prejudiced
rumors. i say kiss my ass. if your releases and customer service track
record wasn't such CRAP maybe we/i wouldn't be so quick to doubt you.
i have absolutely no trust or faith in mangle (aka: manga entertainment)
simply because they have consistantly and constantly betrayed that trust.
i love R.O.D and no i won't be surprised one lil wit of mangle produces
yet another craptacular release for it {{reassurancehuggles Yomiko}}

i have determined that in general the public are lazyass slobs. that's not to
say everyone is, but dang. it can't take but all of 1 or 2 minutes to put the
item you don't want back where you got it from. it's a painless process, honest.

another work eeevil is checks. i truly passionately most definitely despise checks.
i would looove it if we would just stop taking them alltogether.
debit cards people - that's what they were created for. save the checks, if
you will, for you mailable bills.

jayme-chan came over for a visit yesterday after work. we were
going to go to chili's for dinner, but since we couldn't find a parking
space (love those friday nights) we cruised over to outback instead.
of course, i'm still craving a skillet queso, but outback is much faster
about moving people in and out then chili's.
mm... cheese fries :D~
mm... real food :D~~
ok, i'm set for a few more weeks now. back to the sandwhiches
and savingsavingsaving.

i got to see the dvd case media blasters used for the Kurogane
Communication anime (which i HIGHLY recommend, btw) and megami-sama,
it is such C.R.A.P >.< just when i thought the Bebop DTS case was the
height of crapness, media blasters knocks them outa that standing.
geh. a triple scavano (i despise scavanos to begin with) where the first
dvd is behind the liner notes *leftside* and the other two discs are such
that one overlaps the other by half *rightside* and stuck in their scavano
holds like gum in hair.

digipack, which it is of sorts.

His and Her Circumstance 3 is shipping monday. those who preordered
direct from TRSI will most likely get their sooner than those who wait

got your message. i'll give you a call before i go to work, and
again during lunch to see if i can catch you. i get off at 6pm and
david gets off at 830pm. we were going to do chili's if you'd like
to join us then come over for some anime. i work saturday too,
but the night shift so if you want you can stay the night. or not.

i wouldn't worry too much about the TRSI phone call. if it's the
first order you've placed with them, they are not doubt calling
to confirm credit card info, shipping, and legitimacy. they do it
to prevent fraud, as much as possible at least. when i did my
first order with them, i got the same phone call. if you're having
it shipped to a different address then your billing address, that
could be part of it too. since that first order and phone call, they
haven't called me once.

DNA'2 dvd 1 has a release date. w00t!!!
5 dvds total as the last 3 episodes -OVAs- will be released on
their own disc. seeing as how i never thought this anime would
ever see r1 dvd light of day, i'll let the 3 eps a disc slide.
something tells me that the liscence for this anime wasn't cheap,
nor the masters in the greatest condition. cpm may have to do
some cleaning which would mean needing more bitage each
disc to maintain the audio/video quality.

just finished watching the Love Hina Xmas special and Inu-Yasha,
both dvds for IY of course. ahh... love this series, anime at least.
amazingly, i'm not a takahashi slore, and IY is the first series of hers
i have actually been thoroughly addicted to and enjoyed.
the only complaint i have about the dvd, besides the yellow screen
during the episode title which i already knew about do to a post on
the glitch disc forum on aodvd, was the total lack of subtitles for the
OP and ED. augh!!!!! translate and subtitle the songs damnit! and i
want my Inu-Yasha's jar, too.
grrrrr!!!! and it's not like viz isn't perfectly capable of it either. they
subbed the OP and ED for Key the Metal Idol. another minor gripe is
the 3 episodes per disc and the somewhat simplistic subtitling job.
"kuso" doesn't mean "gyragh", especially when coming from inuyasha himself :P
whole complex sentences are being, in some cases, way too simplified
and i know i am missing out on some stuff. i know enough of a smattering
of japanese to catch some of what isn't making it, and enough to know
that i'm not getting it all in the english subtitles before me either.
the 3 eps a disc is the price i pay for getting IY so early into its release
in japan as to its american liscence. thankfully, i get a decent discount
on all my dvds so it isn't totally killing my bank account.
audio and video quality are excellent though. the overlay software used
for the credits during OP and ED do rather visibly affect the whole image
though. the difference is clearly obvious when watching the creditless
OP and ED on dvd 1.
trouble chocolate dvd 2 awaits.

might like them, but with no obligation to buy since i didn't personally
order them. donny showed them to me today.... and of course i gotta
have em. utsukushi *o_o*
now that i've seen one of the import clear posters, i know they're not
crappy, and the FLCL of Haruko in the january previews is verrry tempting.
not like i need any more posters to frame @_@
poster framing sounds like a good xmas idea to me, yesindeed. bday is
already taken by new glasses.
if i could pay off more of my credit card, i could splurge and get my busted
poster reframed and a couple more done at the same time.

speaking of which, today was rent day. oh yeah, i feel poor -.-
and next month starts the renewal of my lease and an increase in my rent.
at least for the first month of my new rent i get a "thank you" discount
of $75 off febs rent. of course, back to normal for march and onward :P
if vero wasn't a future temptation, i'd be house hunting. demo, one
thing at a time.

Kare Kano GN 1 is out. the reports so far aren't nightmare
inspiring, amazingly, but considering the delay and time tokyopop
has had to sit on and fix any problems with this gn, it's still
dispointing on its own level.

did get to watch some YYH yesterday, and also watched my
Haibane Renmei dvd 1. mm... ~swoon~ i am so in LOVE with this
anime. i must have everything Haibane and Robin, ohyes ^^
two new unsubbed anime addictions i simply must have. demo,
they are definitely worth it. Haibane is beautiful as Robin is fascinating.

greg-chan's summary on naruto definitely has me interested. now i'm
going to have to check out the scanlations of the manga. though
that is being bad of me since it is being published in shounen jump,
albeit with major translation issues -.-#
