Bob's Burger Express was a local chain based in Salem, OR, that closed in Febuary of 2002, although the store that I worked at closed November 11, 2001. I worked at the Thurston store at 58th and Main St. in Springfield, OR. The chain suffered from bad management and no marketing, plus some old rumors of horsemeat in the burgers. I kid you not. I worked there from June of 2001 until the store closed as a crew member and lead front closer. By the time the end hit, we were pulling in $250 a day on the good days. I had the highest nights sales, averaging $50-$100 a night. Yeah. McDonalds does $250 an hour on an average slow day. I decided to HTML the manuals to save a bit of local history and because they actually had the right idea - they just couldn't make it work. Spending $1,000,000 to redo the Bend store and put glass doors on the fridges didn't help, either.
There are four manuals - Orientation, Cashier One, Cashier Two, and Fry Cook. Each one is its own page, and the HTML files are fairly large if you're on a slow connection. I've corrected some of the more glaring typographical errors, but other than that, they are all as printed. I've scanned the register layouts since they're impossible to table. |
