Fot thoise few of us who have given up hope (of what?)

No hope is better still - it goes all the way

because EMPTY = FULL

therefore NONE = ALL

Or, should we say "NONE at ALL"?

When Half becomes Full
======================

Consider a 10 ml cylinder containing 5 ml of water:

1. We say that the cylinder is half-empty
2. We also say that the cylinder is half-full.

Since we pertain to the same thing, then they are the same. In Math,
we say they are equal

1/2 empty = 1/2 full

then we can factor out 1/2, giving us

1/2 empty = 1/2 full
---------- ---------
1/2 1/2

leaving us with

empty = full

Hence, empty is also equal to full

Dickibus,

I am an engineer and consider math as well as todays economy and costs. Given the 10 ml cylinder; I would say that it would be cheaper to buy a 5 ml cylinder, fill it full and put the savings of not having to buy a 10ml cylinder in my pocket to pay for something else I need or want.

Bye,
Rob in Texas

P.S. Our 10 ml cylinder over here would probably be a pint container. By the way, how much are your world membership dues?

And would the currency be in pounds or ounces?

Restarted the blanket I'm making Auntie, cos I did a few rows with the medium sage as the solid with the varigated and decided that it looked more sewer than spring. -_-; The darker green overwhemed the lighter tones too much. It wasn't a problem with the purple thing, cos there was more of the purple to start with. There's only a teeny bit of the darker green, and the rest of the colors are pastels. That and the other colors were bright enough to not get lost in the purple, so it doesn't look as bad as the darker green did with this yarn. -_-;; I'm going to take back the extra skeins of the darker green and get the lighter one instead tomorrow. Bless Wal*Mart and their return policy. XD~

Am crocheting like a mad girl, because I want to get the purple thing done before I start on Auntie's Meowmy's Day present. XD See, Emmie told Shouko who told ME how much Auntie liked the blankie I made. She wanted to make one herself, but that with the whole no thumb thing and all . . . XD So Shouko let me know and I told her to tell Emmie that I'd see what I could do. <3

.... that and if I DON'T make her one, I have a pretty good idea that I'd have to keep mine under lock and key lest it find itself in Medford. <3 Er.

From Jin -

Mr Brain's Faggots

Mind you, this is a real company in the UK. "Mr Brain’s Faggots have been sold in the UK for over 100 years. Hibernia Foods plc acquired the brand of Mr Brain’s in 1998 from Bestfoods. The name Faggot is derived from the Latin/French word for bundle. Mr Brain’s is a family branded product that was established in Bristol in 1889 by Herbert Hill Brain. They are manufactured in the traditional pack sizes of 2, 4 or 6 faggots in gravy and are now also available as a ready meal with potato and vegetables." But. You READ the page and it is just beyond words. Oh. My. God. XD
